Getting Money Out Of Politics

We may sometimes wonder why passing important environmental and climate legislation is so difficult. Often it’s because the lawmakers are bought and paid for by moneyed interests. Madison Goff from Clean Water Action will join us at our next Washtenaw Climate Reality meeting to tell us all about their "Money Out of Politics" campaign and explain how important cleaning up our politics is to getting good policy put in place. 

Clean Water Action is a grassroots environmental non-profit with a longtime presence in Ann Arbor. CWA’s founding victory was helping pass the Clean Water Act of 1972. Madison joined Clean Water Action in January of 2022 after having earned degrees in Biological Engineering from the University of Arkansas and Environmental Policy and Environmental Education from the University of Michigan. Madison is a great communicator, so please don’t miss her presentation! The meeting is held on Zoom, it's free of charge, no registration is required, and everyone is welcome, so please join us!
